amd_s2idle: Support for updated QCNFA765 Firmware
Hello,
I am trying to debug a s2idle battery drain problem on my Thinkpad P16s Gen 2 (AMD). In about 1 of 10 cases of suspend, the battery drains as if I did not put the laptop to suspend at all.
I noticed that amd_s2idle gives a warning about my wifi firmware:
The firmware loaded for the WCN6855 causes spurious wakeups
The version string containing the fix is 'WLAN.HSP.1.1-03125-QCAHSPSWPL_V1_V2_SILICONZ_LITE-3.6510.23'
My Wifi Firmware is
fw_version 0x1109996e fw_build_timestamp 2023-12-19 11:11 fw_build_id WLAN.HSP.1.1-03125-QCAHSPSWPL_V1_V2_SILICONZ_LITE-3.6510.36
and hopefully not entitled to this bug? I see that the tool just compares the fw_version and mine is lower:
if wcn6855 >= 0x110B196E:
I don't know what qualcomm thought about their versioning scheme...
