Ryzen 5600H + RTX3050 Backlight

Description

Brightness control does not work with AMD Ryzen 5600h when using switchable graphics (aka. Hybrid graphics). I currently using a Dell G15 5515 with fedora 36 and Kernel 5.17.

• CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600h with Radeon Graphics
• GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3050 Mobile Graphics
• System Memory: 16 GB
• Display(s): Laptop (Laptop Screen) and Dell secondary Monitor

I have tried same stuff from #1791 (closed) . Nothing apears to work.dmesg_backlight.log

You need to use the nvidia-wmi-ec-backlight driver to control the backlight. Make sure the driver is available and enabled in the kernel you are using. You may need additional patches to make it work. This is likely a duplicate of #1671 (closed).

This issue hasn't had any activity since 2022-06-15. The AMD driver stack changes rapidly and contains lots of shared code across products so it's possible that it has already been fixed. Please upgrade to a current stable kernel and userspace stack and try again. If you still experience this issue with the latest driver stack, please capture relevant logging and open a new issue referring back to this one.
