[regression][bisected]Corrupted screen with kernel 5.11 or later
Brief summary of the problem:
Installed ubuntu mainline kernel 5.11.3 on Ubuntu 20.10. System boots up fine, but the screen is corrupted. See attached image.
Hardware description:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 4750G Renoir APU
- GPU: Integrated Graphics
- System Memory: 64GB
- Display(s): Viewsonic VX3276
- Type of Display Connection: HDMI
System infomration:
- Distro name and Version: Ubuntu 20.10
- Kernel version: 5.11.3 (also 5.12-rc2)
- Custom kernel:
- AMD package version: "No package"
How to reproduce the issue:
- Install ubuntu mainline kernel 5.11.3 on Ubuntu 20.10 using ubuntu-mainline-kernel.sh tool.
- Reboot the system with the new kernel.
System boots up fine, but the screen is corrupted. See attached image.
Also occurs with kernels 5.11, 5.12-rc2. Does not occur with kernel 5.10.20.
