amdgpu crashes with simd exception in mode_support_and_system_configuration
Brief summary of the problem:
Display freezes during normal desktop use. SSH access from another computer still works. dmesg shows "simd exception" and a backtrace with dcn_bw_ceil2 and mode_support_and_system_configuration.
Hardware description:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 3200G
- GPU: Integrated Radeon Vega 8
- System Memory: 32 GB
- Display(s): 2560x1440
- Type of Diplay Connection: DP
System infomration:
- Distro name and Version: Ubuntu 20.04
- Kernel version: 5.4.0-31
- Custom kernel: Ubuntu default from package linux-image-5.4.0-31-generic
- AMD package version: xserver-xorg-video-amdgpu 19.1.0-1
How to reproduce the issue:
Reproduction steps are not yet known, issue is very random and for me only occurs once every few weeks.
