Draft: Wifi/IWD fixes

Three minor fixes for the IWD backend and one for wpa_supplicant, see individual commits for details.

I marked this Draft because commit a1a4da6d is a sort of RFC and I haven't tested that it does actually solve the problem as described in !1264 (closed).
