errors reported by nmcli with openconnect/globalprotect
The openconnect maintainer suggested reporting the results of using nmcli with openconnect to bring up a globalprotect VPN http://lists.infradead.org/pipermail/openconnect-devel/2020-May/005700.html.
It's confusing (and undocumented as far as I can see) that it's
necessary to do this with nmcli, unlike the GUI, but I followed the
suggestion to script passing the results from openconnect --authenticate
to nmcli c up
. That brings up the VPN, but reports
errors for some reason:
Connected to HTTPS on ***
Got HTTP response: HTTP/1.1 502 Bad Gateway
Unexpected 502 result from server
Failed to obtain WebVPN cookie
Error: openconnect failed with status 1
Connection successfully activated (D-Bus active path: /org/freedesktop/NetworkManager/ActiveConnection/18)
(It's the same passing the data to nmcli by hand, not a problem with the simple script.)
Versions: Ubuntu 18.04 with network-manager 1.10.14, openconnect 8.0.5, and network-manager-openconnect 1.2.6.
