PC freezes (ubuntu 12.04) - segmentation fault on X server

Created attachment 63999 log file containing the segmentation fault
From time to time (not regular, frequency changes), while using the touchpad of my laptop (moving the mouse), the computer freezes. Not possible to do ctrl+alt+del/bckspace to restart x Not possible to do ctrl+alt+f1 to switch to a shell Not possible to do a ssh to the machine pressing power on/off does not shutdown Only way found is a long press on the power on key to power off.
Looking at /var/log, it seems the freeze comes from a segmentation fault in the X server (tbc) attaching Xorg.0.log.old
