Up to 25% perf drop in high FPS use-cases from "modesetting: Disable atomic support by default"
"modesetting: Disable atomic support by default" commit (from last week) drops performance in benchmarks.
Drop is relative to the FPS. For example, in:
- FullFD fullscreen "GpuTest" v0.7 "Triangle" test-case on Intel SkyLake SkullCanyon (GT4e), the drop is 25%:
GpuTest /test=triangle /width=1920 /height=1080 /fullscreen /msaa=1 /no_scorebox /benchmark
- Windowed & composited 1/2 FullHD "GLBenchmark" v2.7 onscreen "Egpyt" test-case on SkyLake 6600K (GT2), the drop is 7%:
build_x86_64/binaries/GLBenchmark -skip_load_frames -data data -t GLB27_EgyptHD_inherited_C24Z16_FixedTime -w 1366 -h 768 -ow 1366 -oh 768
