HP 850 G5 trackpoint registered as mouse, resolution/multiplier setting not possible
The trackpoint on a HP 850 G5 notebook is registered as a PS/2 mouse, working, but no setting of custom DPI setting or setting of TrackpointMultiplier is possible.
mouse-dpi-tool from libevdev-tools reports the device matching string as:
mouse:unknown bus type:v0002p0001:name:PS/2 Generic Mouse:
MOUSE_DPI=XXX@89
Symptom is:
Changing the DPI value, by creating a .hwdb file in /etc/udev/hwdb.d/
, running systemctl-hwdb update and udevadm trigger /dev/input/event*
does not have any effect.
Using a xinput coordinate transformation matrix is also not possible, see issue #600 and acceleration setting is maxed out.
