When executing the following script as user, I Xorg spawns an error, locks & quits.
---Begin of Snip--- #!/bin/bash
test.sh
FONT_NAME="xft:Bitstream Vera Sans Mono" FONT_LOCALHOST1_SIZE="13" FONT_LOCALHOST2_SIZE="13" FONT_LOCALHOST3_SIZE="10"
This will cause Xorg to Crash!
urxvt -fn "{FONT_NAME}':size='
{FONT_LOCALHOST2_SIZE}"
---End of Snip---
stdout shows: $ bin/test.sh xft:Bitstream Vera Sans Mono':size='13 urxvt: An X Error occured, trying to continue after report. urxvt: X Error of failed request: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation) urxvt: Major opcode of failed request: 45 urxvt: (which is X_OpenFont) urxvt: Serial number of failed request: 104 urxvt: An X Error occured, trying to continue after report. urxvt: X Error of failed request: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation) urxvt: Major opcode of failed request: 45 urxvt: (which is X_OpenFont) urxvt: Serial number of failed request: 107 gvim: Fatal IO error 104 (Connection reset by peer) on X server :0.0. urxvt: X connection to ':0.0' broken, unable to recover, exiting.
From the stdout of the terminal & the output within the log file, this doesn't look like a happy error! But, the error does seem to kick me back to my display manager login (slim).
I already know I likely have a bad variable incantation, but this error probably shouldn't be happening.
