Crash: XWayland 22.1.1 crashes when disconnecting Lenovo Thunderbolt 4 dock

OS: Kde Neon User edition

XWayland version: 2:22.1.1-1ubuntu0.7

Display driver: NVIDIA 535 driver

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

  1. Connect laptop to TB4 dock with two monitors: DP and USB-C
  2. Log into KDE session
  3. Disconnect TB 4 dock

OBSERVED RESULT

Laptop internal screen freezes, cannot switch VTs. Alt + SysRq + REISUB works to boot the laptop

EXPECTED RESULT

Laptop can be operated normally using its internal screen.

ADDITIONAL INFO

XWayland also crashes when disconnecting HDMI cable directly connected to the laptop.
