XWayland: crash when running BAR

Just before the game loads on BAR (Beyond All Reason) I get a crash on XWayland and sway 1.6.1. After that it enters some corrupt state where some graphical applications won't load.

The issue happens on both a fresh manjaro installation and a recent system upgrade (it worked before the upgrade).

We did some debugging with engine devs and no obvious culprit was found, using either llvmpipe or radeonsi renderer gives same result.

Output on game stdout:

XIO: fatal IO error 2 (No such file or directory) on X server ":0"
after 14464 requests (4826 known processed) with 199 events remaining.

The only way I know how to reproduce is to have a fresh install of manjaro-xfce, install sway, install BAR and run it.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
