Desktop Freeze in nv04_timer_read - Ubuntu 20.04 Firefox hangs Desktop
Problem:
NVIDIA GeForce GT 240 card with nouveau
drivers freezes desktop & system. Using Firefox browser long enough appears to reproduce a freeze. Does not appear related to RAM (system has 64GiB + 64 GiB swap on NVMe SSDs)
