fbdev + offb 8bit colormap problems

Description

fbdev 0.3.1 with Linux offb (kernel 2.6.17), 1280x1024_8bit, hardware is IBM GXT2000P on RS/6000 (PowerPC). Most colors show up as black. White shows up as blue (perhaps #0000FF). I can also get something that looks like #FF80FF or so

  • this is when xterm is trying to display bold green.

The Linux text console (also using offb) works fine, with the full range of 16 ANSI colors.

I'd be happy to provide logfiles and test patches.
