ATI R600: GPU lockup when using OpenGL

Hardware:
ATI Radeon HD2900 GT
Software:
xorg-x11-drv-ati.x86_64 6.14.1-2.20110525gitfe5c42f5.fc15
Problem:
Every time I try tu use an OpenGL program my computer freeze.
For example with glxgears:
7 frames in 35.2 seconds = 0.199 FPS
Same with Tux or any game which require OpenGL and acceleration.
