Two-finger scrolling randomly triggers a click.
When scrolling on my 2014 MacBook Pro with tap to click enabled, the things I scroll over get randomly clicked all the time and it is extremely annoying and inconvenient. As soon as I touch the trackpad with two fingers while the cursor is over some clickable element, that element gets clicked sometimes.
I observed that while the sequence of tap states for successful attempts was
TS_MOVE, the sequence of tap states for unsuccessful attempts was
TS_3, and also, the pressure returned by the input event (
TS_2A gets set is 0, which means the first finger is treated as if it were released before recognizing the second finger as a second touch. This happens even though no finger was ever released and it seems to occur at random, maybe more often when the second finger is placed on the trackpad a few milliseconds later than the first one.
