xinput list does not distinguish between devices

Submitted by Han Boetes

Assigned to Xorg Project Team

Link to original bug (#64794)

Description

I have 9 touchscreen monitor with this system, 3 devices identified as 3M MT7 Touch Screen 3 devices identified as eGalax Inc. USB TouchController, and 3 devices identified as ILITEK ILITEK Multi-Touch

I do not see a clear way to identify the devices. All I can do for now is hope nobody switches around the devices. Furthermore setting them up in the proper order is far from obvious.

I hope someone realises that the xinput method is ok for one monitor but rather unworkable for 9 monitors.
