tablet left-handed setting does not apply correctly

Fedora 38, xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.20.14-23.fc38.x86_64 and xorg-x11-drv-libinput-1.3.0-1.fc38.x86_64 and mutter-44.1-1.fc38.x86_64 does not handle the tablet left-handed setting correctly. See also @jigpu's comment in mutter#562.

Tested locally with a PTH-660, the left-handed setting appears in the GNOME control center but does not toggle for all devices.

  • Wacom Intuos Pro M Pen this is the parent device and it does not have a left-handed setting
  • Wacom Intuos Pro M Pen Pen (0x12345678) this is the actual pen when in proximity and it does not have a left-handed setting
  • Wacom Intous Pro M Finger this is the touch device and it has a left-handed setting but that remains on zero
  • Wacom Intuos Pro M Pad the pad, has a left-handed setting that is toggled
