xrandr 1.4.1 sometimes needs to be run twice to reset the resolution

This problem happens under somewhat unusual conditions namely after a fullscreen app, that changes resolution, crashes or is killed. It may or may not matter that these apps use SDL.
So, once the app crashes, the resolution is incorrect. First run of 'xrandr -s 0' seems to restore it, but if that app is ran again, it runs windowed. Only after 'xrandr -s 0' is ran again, the correct behavior is restored.
Well, it might just as well be a problem with the window manager (openbox), but xrandr seems a better place to start.
