Snippets directory

I'm not sure if this is the right place to send feature requests but I'd appreciate if snippets had a well-known location that all text editors could use. It'd be nice to be able to drop files like "ganarchy-file-copyright-header.py" into it and then paste them from the text editor.

I propose $HOME/Snippets be used for this purpose, but I'm not sure how translatable that name is and welcome alternatives.
