Artifacts when compositor starts

After starting the compositor, for a split second, there are some visual artifacts, that go away after compositor background loads.

First found them due to Hyprland (from AUR hyprland-git) wlroots version bump, but seems to also happen on latest sway with latest wlroots (from AUR sway-git-wlroots-git).

GPU: AMD RX 570 (mesa 23.1.3-2 from arch repo) also tried to reproduce the issue on my QEMU virtual machine but there are no artifacts there.

doubt it's a hardware issue since rolling back to version before those commits removes the issue

Issue seems to appear between 6e8fb550 and 7791ffe0
