Cursor plane left behind after normal exit
When launching weston from the console, then quitting it normally (ie. using ctrl+alt+backspace
), the cursor plane is not properly cleaned and left behind, on top of the console.
This includes the cursor itself, as well as some garbage of random size and contents:
I can use the console normally, including scrolling without any issue, and the cursor image stays there unaffected.
The issue disappears after suspending to disk (S4) and powering on again. Haven't tried S3. Edit: Just tried S3, same result of removing the cursor plane.
Some details:
- weston 5.0.0
- mesa since at least 18.2, still happening on today's master, running on i965
- kernel 4.18 to 4.20 (4.20.3 right now)
I can reliably reproduce this, so I can test any patch or debug the issue (if I'm guided).
