Changing infoframe contents may require KMS modeset?

    One weird thing about the HDR metadata property is that it can result in modesets. I.e. if you change the EOTF field the display does a modeset but setting the property without DRM_MODE_ATOMIC_ALLOW_MODESET still works. Changing the metadata on the other hand doesn't seem to result in a modeset. I've been wondering if the HDR metadata property really should be two properties. One for selecting the transfer characteristics (or hdr-system or whatever) which only works with DRM_MODE_ATOMIC_ALLOW_MODESET and one for the metadata.
