Pointer stuttering when gpu under load (Compositor not using hardware cursor?)
Hello,
I tried gnome-shell,kwin and weston.
None of them are able to use hardware cursor, and afaik, at least kde supports hw cursors under Wayland.
I can say that because when the gpu is under stress, mouse starts to stutter; this never happens under Xorg which is using Hardware cursor for sure, because when i use kmsgrab from ffmpeg to capture, the pointer is not captured.
I'm opening the bug here, because weston is the reference compositor, probabily the issue is related to something else (?).
From what i see from modetest util from libdrm (apart from hardware cursor working in Xorg) it is supported on my system: modetest.out.txt
I'm using:
igp from my haswell i5-4560; Linux kernel 5.17.1 from Arch distribution; libdrm (if related) is 2.4.110; wayland 1.20.0; wayland-protocols 1.25; wayland-utils 1.0.0;
