Firefox developer version/nightly build doesn't display in kiosk shell

I'm trying to launch Firefox in the kiosk shell on a pinephone (aarch64-unknown-linux-gnu target). The result is a full black screen with no obvious error thrown. Using the desktop shell works fine, including maximizing the Firefox window.
