Controlling display standby and wakeup

Is there a way to tell Weston from client application to send displays to standby mode (controlling DPMS modes) or wake up them when app wants it?

I know I can disable idle in weston config file, however I would like to have a full control of standby/wakeup displays in the client app.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
