Display notch support

With many phones having notch support and laptops eventually gaining notches, it might be worthwhile to have a standardized approach to handling notches. What is the best approach to address this?

The easiest fix would be to add a bezel (black bar) to the top of the phone. However, this doesn't cover cases when the screen is curved on the corners.
