Toshiba Satellite L850 continually showing "0%" and "Estimating..."
My family member's Toshiba Satellite L850 with Pop!_OS 20.04 LTS (AMD/Intel) installed is constantly reporting the battery as 0% and when clicked it shows "Estimating...".
Laptop Specs, according to neofetch:
- OS: Pop!_OS 20.04 LTS x86_64
- Host: Satellite L850 PSKDLA-09200R
- Kernel: 5.4.0-7634-generic
- Shell: bash 5.0.17
- DE: GNOME
- CPU: Intel i5-2450M (4) @ 3.100GHz
- GPU: AMD ATI Radeon HD 7500M/7600M Series
- Memory: 3895MiB
This occurs regardless of whether it's plugged in or not. Last night, I deleted the contents of /var/lib/upower/ and let the laptop go flat, before charging to back up to 100%. This didn't work. I also booted into Tails to see whether this was an issue with Pop!_OS, but Tails presented the same issue. I also installed XFCE and that too showed the same issue.
Using: sudo tlp-stat
I'm presented with this:

and cat /var/lib/upower/*
returns:
