Pulse audio without ALSA?
Hello.
In https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/PulseAudio
There is:
PulseAudio also provides its own native interface to applications that want to support PulseAudio directly, as well as a legacy interface for ESD applications, making it suitable as a drop-in replacement for ESD.
Does it mean that PulseAudio can work with his own audio drivers and that the ALSA audio kernels for Linux are not needed?
And that nothing from ALSA has to be installed on a Linux system? Many thanks for clarification.
