avoid-resampling restricted by alternative-sample-rate
Right now you can only have two sample rates: the default-sample-rate
and alternative-sample-rate
When avoid-resampling = true
, Pulse only checks whether one of the two sample rates matches the source sample rate. But what about the potentially other supported sample rates the hardware supports?
Example: default = 44.1k and alternative = 48k. If I avoid resampling and play audio of 192k sample rate, it will default to 44.1k even though my hardware happens to support it.
This means I have to tirelessly edit the config file and restart Pulse every time I face this problem.
Can we have an override which allows you to make better use of the supported sample rates? Pulse can already figure out the supported formats with pactl list sinks
.
