PCM is not managed at all on a Logitech G633 headset
Summary
I’m facing an issue with my Logitech G633 headset: PulseAudio does not manage the PCM channel at all and I have to manually set it to 100% if I want a good output volume. Volume control works fine, but if I don't do that the output volume is low even at “100%”.
It seems that the PCM channel is set to a low value every time the headset is plugged (or when the machines come back from sleep).
environment
Steps to reproduce
- Plug a Logitech G633
- See that the PCM value is low in alsamixer (27 on one machine 33 on another, if that means anything to you)
- Change volume using Gnome Shell volume bar
- See that the PCM value hasn’t changed and that output volume is low
- Set PCM to 100% and that the output volume is now as expected
What is the current bug behavior?
PulseAudio does not seem to manage the PCM channel on that headset at all, resulting in a low volume even at full power.
What is the expected correct behavior?
PulseAudio should manage the PCM channel on that device.
