Multiple PulseAudio instances on Ubuntu 15.10

Description

On Ubuntu 15.10, build kernel with configure setting: Device Drivers --> <M> Sound card support and 3~5 pulseaudio instances observed when Ubuntu boot up. As comparison, if build kernel with configure setting: Device Drivers --> <*> Sound card support and only 1 pulseaudio instance observed when Ubuntu boot up.

The issue is reproduced on multiple platforms such as Skylake and Baytrail.
