Audio capture and S/PDIF playback not working with Realtek ALC4080
Warning
Missing data may cause bugs to languish.
Summary
I have the ROG Maximus XIII Apex motherboard. It has a Realtek ALC4080 USB-based sound chip. Currently it gets detected as a generic USB audio device, and only the headphone output works. Jack detection does work.
Using back connectors only:
- Line-in does not record anything.
- Mic does not record anything.
- My receiver does not see any sound coming from the IEC958.
I have made sure the profiles are set up correctly for these cases.
