RTP broken after 13.99.2+11+g05f56708-1 on Arch Linux
Summary
After I updated to this version on Arch Linux the RTP stream cuts off after less than a minute and comes back with crackling. Every other "normal" playback is unaffected, only RTP acts this way.
environment
See attachment. I highly doubt this is a hardware issue because everything works fine, except RTP.
Steps to reproduce
I ran these commands on my Arch Linux device:
pactl load-module module-null-sink sink_name=rtp
pactl load-module module-rtp-recv sink=rtp sap_address=0.0.0.0
The remote PulseAudio instance (Ubuntu 18.04, pulseaudio 11.1
) does not have any special configuration except this snippet in /etc/pulse/default.pa
:
load-module module-null-sink sink_name=rtp
load-module module-rtp-send source=rtp.monitor destination_ip=192.168.1.2 port=9875
set-default-sink rtp
What is the current bug behavior?
The stream disappears after less than a minute and comes back with serious crackling going on. It will also vanish again and again. This is not a network issue. It works fine with 13.0-3
on Arch Linux.
I ran pulseaudio with --verbose
, see attached journal.log. All the Unsupported SAP version.
messages appear when the stream disappears. I did not include all of them because there are roughly 8000 of these messages and they are all the same.
What is the expected correct behavior?
The stream does not cut out and there is no crackling.
