paprefs --disable-esound switch to suppress module-esound-protocol-tcp.so not found warning ?
Hi,
paprefs 1.1 is now bundled with the OpenIndiana operating system. I created an OpenIndiana package and this package is now in the OpenIndiana public repository. It is available as an Image Package System (IPS) package called desktop/paprefs and it works with OpenIndiana's port of pulseaudio which is currently version 13.0.
paprefs seems to work fine, but when running paprefs, and for example selecting "Network server -> Enable network access to local sound devices" this works, but it also issues a warning that module-esound-protocol-tcp.so is not found.
This is logical since OpenIndiana compiles pulseaudio with --disable-esound and only module-native-protocol-tcp.so is provided.
I tried compiling on OpenIndiana with --enable-esound and that works, so perhaps module-esound-protocol-tcp.so could be provided, but I wonder whether paprefs has a compile time switch to disable esound as well.
Maybe I just missed it, but I'd like to compile paprefs with something like --disable-esound so that it does not warn (and search) for module-esound-protocol-tcp.so and just uses module-native-protocol-tcp.so only.
Thanks, David Stes
