Plymouth requires `splash` yet silently starts when it's missing
Greetings everyone,
If you're like me and make lots of typos, you could easily put pslash
in the kernel command line. Only to be confused why plymouth does not work. That is pretty obvious in the plymouthd --debug
log, but not otherwise.
Can we get by default plymouthd
and/or plymouth
to print a warning/error if the argument is missing? Alternatively one could even exit to make it more obvious ... although that might break a few existing setups.
Thanks in advance o/
