Playing or Resuming Takes 3 Seconds (HDMI)
If you are filing this issue with a regular release please try master as it might already be fixed.
Version, Distribution, Desktop Environment: Git Mastah, Fedora 33, Gnome 3.38.
Description of Problem: When I hit play or resume video or audio it takes between 3-5 seconds from the time I hit play to the time the sound comes out. Now if it's normally supposed to take three seconds (with suspend-node enabled) I'm going to drop this immediately (five seconds is super rare but does happen), as I've filed a kernel bug and they want user-space debugged first. When I disable suspend-node it works as expected. So how do I debug this?
https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=212251
How Reproducible: Every time (unless I disable suspend-node).
Steps to Reproduce:
- Play video and pause it to let suspend-node kick in.
- Hit play.
- Wait 3-5 seconds for audio to play.
Actual Results: On resume from pause or just when you start playing audio takes between 3-5 seconds to start.
Expected Results: Hit play or resume video hear sound immediately (just like when suspend-node is disabled).
