Volume control of BT device stops working
Sometimes, but not very often (unclear triggered by what), volume control of BT devices stops working. So far have seen this only with Bluetooth devices.
pw-mon shows volume change events fine:
... Prop: key Spa:Pod:Object:Param:Props:channelVolumes (65544), flags 00000000 Array: child.size 4, child.type Spa:Float Float 0.195129 Float 0.195129 ...
where the Float numbers change as expected, sliders in pavucenter move etc., but the volume does not actually change. Changing stream volumes still works (and device hardware volume of course works), but the pipewire device volume change has no effect.
This is distinct from the earlier Gnome volume issues, in that it doesn't seem to be related to pulse-server, and seems to occur on current master (fbb5dad6).
Switching device profile recovers from this state (probably because sinks/sources get recreated).
pw-mon (on volume change): pw-mon.log
On log level 2, pipewire logs don't show anything (haven't managed to be running at higher level in cases where this has occurred).
