Tunneling is kinda broken
- PipeWire : 0.3.54
- Debian sid & Raspbian bookworm
- Kernel version : 5.18.0-2-amd64
Description of Problem:
Tunneling from host to server (via module-pulse-tunnel) gives distorted sound after a few minutes (cracklings) and if the device is suspended sound is delayed by a few seconds after restart.
How Reproducible:
Systematic whatever tweaks (audio rate, quantums...) are tried.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Create a sink using module-pulse-tunnel to another pipewire server
- Launch some audio client and wait a few minutes until sound starts being distorted, then stop it and resume a minute later and sound is delayed.
Actual Results:
cracklings after a few minutes (sounds saturated mostly if using bass sounds) huge delay (and cracklings) when sound is resumed after pausing a few minutes
Expected Results:
should work just it used to.
Downgraded client side resolved the problem (server still being 0.3.54).
