Devices and profiles sometimes not being detected
- PipeWire version (

Debian GNU/Linux bookworm/sid
- Desktop Environment: KDE Plasma
- Kernel version (
Description of Problem:
On startup PipeWire sometimes doesn't detect profiles and/or devices. To get things working I often have to run
systemctl --user restart pipewire and restart apps to get them using the correct devices.
I had a similar (if not the same) issue with PulseAudio but then it seemed to have gone away but resurfaced with the change to PipeWire.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Restart the computer.
- Check the Plasma audio applet and/or try to play sound/record in an app.
Profiles and/or devices are missing from the Plasma audio applet and audio in apps doesn't work.
All devices and profiles to be properly detected on startup without the need to restart PipeWire
