Disable bluetooth headset hardware volume control

  • PipeWire version (pipewire Compiled with libpipewire 0.3.43 Linked with libpipewire 0.3.43):
  • Distribution and distribution version (PRETTY_NAME=EndeavourOS):
  • Desktop Environment:
  • Kernel version (5.15.13-arch1-1):
  • BlueZ version (Version 5.62):
  • lsusb:
- Bluetooth devices: Bus 001 Device 004: ID 413c:8197 Dell Computer Corp. BCM20702A0 Bluetooth Module

Description of Problem:

I use a bluetooth headset that has it's own media controls. So whenever I connect, I have to change the volume on the headphones first and then the system volume which is frustrating, otherwise the volume is too low. I would like to disable headphone volume control and have it's volume set at max by default, and then I would be able to change the system volume. I have tried starting bluetoothd with the --noplugin=avrcp option as well.
