0.3.43 - no output on Jabra 510 speakerphone (USB), even with wireplumber config patch
- PipeWire version (
pipewire --version
): 0.3.43 - Distribution and distribution version (
PRETTY_NAME
from/etc/os-release
): arch - Desktop Environment: openbox
- Kernel version (
uname -r
): 5.14.16-arch1-1
Description of Problem:
On 0.3.42, the Jabra 510 microphone (on USB) would not work, and caused YouTube videos to freeze after the first time used. Zoom would work once, but thereafter the mic would be muted.
How Reproducible:
100%
Steps to Reproduce:
Zoom:
- Use Zoom with Jabra speaker + mono input. First test call works.
- Second and subsequent calls will have no input.
YouTube:
- With pavucontrol selecting the Jabra headset (same as Zoom above), videos would freeze.
- Choosing config as output only, no mic, there is no problem.
Workaround: Adding this line to alsa-config.lua on 0.3.42 seems to fix the issue. ["api.alsa.multi-rate"] = true,
HOWEVER, this fix does not work with 0.3.43. I've also tried without the multi-rate setting, and it also does not work. Therefore I cannot use 0.3.43 at all. I would like to test 0.3.43 to check out the quantum issue which I am facing.
Actual Results:
see above - does not work with 0.3.43; works with patched alsa-config.lua on 0.3.42.
