How to disable or lower priority on a particular output?
Hi, apologies if this question is not 100% appropriate here, but the best expertise is concentrated here anyways.
With a little bit of experimenting I believe I discovered that jack on a front panel is broken, e.g. only one speaker in headphones is active when plugged and what's more annoying, PipeWire reports that front jack port (as in
available ("plugged in" in Volume Control) even when it's actually unplugged. As a result, I resorted to using rear panel line out for headphones, which works fine. However, now I obviously end up with the following state:
analog-output-lineout: Line Out (type: Line, priority: 9000, availability group: Legacy 4, available) analog-output-headphones: Headphones (type: Headphones, priority: 9900, availability group: Legacy 5, available)
which is of course nonsense and, due to how the default priorities are arranged, forces me to manually switch from "Headphones" to "Line Out" upon each new session start in order to actually get the sound in headphones. I bet I have two options now, either:
- disable "Headphones" output;
- lower priority of "Headphones" output below 9000.
Moved to PipeWire from PulseAudio, and have no idea how to achieve this. Could someone kindly assist here please? Thanks a lot for your time.
