Wrong device selected after reboot with new device connected
Version, Distribution, Desktop Environment: 0.3.38, Fedora 34, GNOME (also with wire-plumber 0.4.2, Fedora 35, GNOME)
Description of Problem: After connecting a second input / output device and rebooting, the newly connected device will be selected.
How Reproducible: Every time.
Steps to Reproduce:
Tested using a fresh install in a VM, but similar behavior has been observed on "bare metal".
- Open "Settings" -> "Sound"
- Note device selections (in this case "Output Device" is "Line Out - Built-in Audio" and "Input Device" is "Line In - Built-in Audio")
- Connect a second device with an input and output (in this case, "PreSonus Audio AudioBox USB")
- Note device selections have not changed ("Output Device" is still "Line Out - Built-in Audio" and "Input Device" is "Line In - Built-in Audio") but new options are available
- Reboot system
Actual Results: After reboot, the device selections have been changed to those of the second device ("Analog Output - AudioBox", "Analog Input - AudioBox")
Expected Results: After reboot, the selections should be the same as before the reboot ("Output Device" is "Line Out - Built-in Audio" and "Input Device" is "Line In - Built-in Audio")
