issue with setting default sink and port detection since 0.3.36
Version, Distribution, Desktop Environment:
- Version: 0.3.36, or more precisely since this commit: 9faa006c
- Distribution: Arch
- Desktop Environment: just i3wm
Description of Problem:
I have my headphones plugged in the back of my computer. To get sound I have to use the analog-output-lineout port of the alsa_output.pci-0000_0d_00.4.analog-stereo sink.
I recently updated to 0.3.36 and since then I can't set that to the default sink because the port is detected as "not available" in pactl list sinks
In previous releases the port was still detected as unavailable, but I was able to set it as the default sink.
I guess the proper fix here would be to figure out why the port isn't detected properly. I looked around a bit but couldn't figure it out so I would appreciate so help with that.
Steps to Reproduce:
$ pactl set-sink-port alsa_output.pci-0000_0d_00.4.analog-stereo analog-output-lineout
$ pactl set-default-sink alsa_output.pci-0000_0d_00.4.analog-stereo
$ pactl get-default-sink
alsa_output.pci-0000_0b_00.1.hdmi-stereo-extra4
Actual Results: default sink doesn't change
Expected Results: default sink should be set to alsa_output.pci-0000_0d_00.4.analog-stereo
Additional Info Eg. pw-dump -N > file
(As Attachment Please):
-
pw-dump -N
: pw_dump.txt -
pactl list cards
pactl_cards.txt
Please let me know if there's any other info I can provide to help with this.
