No audio on physical audio port, works with pulse
Version, Distribution, Desktop Environment:
PipeWire 0.3.33 0.3.36, NixOS Unstable, Sway. Also tested with PipeWire master.
Description of Problem:
If I connect the headphones using an aux cable to the laptop, and play audio, the headphones show up correctly (as a port) in pavucontrol, and pavucontrol will show audio being played to the headphones, but there's no actual audio being played back. The issue is not present with PulseAudio, and can be mitigated by using bluetooth (although I'd rather avoid this)
How Reproducible:
Always
Steps to Reproduce:
- Connect headphones to computer
- Playback audio
Actual Results:
No audio being physically played back from the headphones despite pavucontrol showing audio being played.
Expected Results:
Audio
pw-dump -N > file
(As Attachment Please):
Additional Info Eg. The headphones are Sony WH-1000XM3. The sound card is listed in lspci
as Intel Corporation Comet Lake PCH-LP cAVS [8086:02c8]
. Only one computer is affected (although the other computer, which it works on, has a slightly older version of PipeWire installed, 0.3.32). I'm not sure if this ever worked on this computer.
The system is launched with the snd-intel-dspcfg.dsp_driver=1
kernel command line option.
