Altering JACK buffer size
Super grateful for the immense progress that you've made so far with Pipewire. It's very close to production ready for pro audio, with one notable exception for my workflow - I would do all my recording with software synthesizers, guitars, bass, and vocals with low buffer sizes (think 128/256). Then, once tracks were all recorded, I would close out my session, up the buffer size of the JACK server to the maximum my card would support (4096 for the Behringer USB interfaces), and then do all my mixing and mastering with a large buffer size so that more CPU could be devoted to DSP. Currently the only way I know of to do this is through altering pipewire.conf default global quantum.
Since recording my last album, I'm changing my workflow to mostly using Zyrythm for the lower latency recording, and Ardour for mixing and mastering - is there a way to use the rules as documented here to create rules for applications - so I can have Carla and Zyrythm default to lower buffer sizes, and then Ardour for big buffer sizes and heavy DSP loads?
