Missing source device in pipewire-pulse
Version, Distribution, Desktop Environment:
- Pipewire 0.3.31
Description of Problem:
I am trying to use NoiseTorch for noise blocking on my microphone. My understanding is that this program creates a virtual source with a plugin loaded and links the selected microphone to it. This all seems to work except that the resulting virtual source is not visible through pipewire-pulse and therefore not selectable. It can be seen in pw-dump and jack but pactl does not show it. The files below demonstrate this. The related NoiseTorch issue is here. The maintainer believes it is a Pipewire bug.
How Reproducible: I can reproduce this every time.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Start NoiseTorch
- Select an input and load the plugin
- Check pulseaudio inputs
Actual Results: The NoiseTorch Microphone device is missing from pactl and pulsemixer but not pw-dump
Expected Results: The NoiseTorch Microphone device present in pulseaudio mixers and usable as an input.
