module-pipe-sink does not create sink
Version, Distribution, Desktop Environment: Fedora 34, pipewire 0.3.31-2.fc34, Gnome 40.2
Description of Problem: When trying to use module-pipe-sink to create a new sink, no sink is created.
How Reproducible: Always reproducible in my environment, no matter what options are supplied to the module.
Steps to Reproduce:
- execute something like:
pactl load-module module-pipe-sink file=/tmp/snapfifo sink_name=Snapcast format=s16le rate=48000
Actual Results:
- no sink is created as shown by:
pactl list short sinks
46 alsa_output.pci-0000_2f_00.4.analog-stereo PipeWire s32le 2ch 48000Hz IDLE
- but the fifo is created at:
/tmp/snapfifo
.
Expected Results:
- A sink would be created, which would allow streams to be switched to it.
