Chrome/Chromium playback freeze
Version, Distribution, Desktop Environment:
Version: 0.3.29 Distribution: Archlinux Desktop Enviroment: i3-gaps
Description of Problem:
After the update 0.3.29 when I use chrome/chromium to play youtube or twitch, after I change between one video to another or one livestream to another, the video freezes and I must close chrome/chromium and open it again. It does not happens with firefox.
How Reproducible:
Always
Steps to Reproduce:
It's only reproducible when I have this options uncommented on the file pipewire.conf
default.clock.min-quantum = 32
default.clock.max-quantum = 128
- uncomment both lines mentioned
- Open youtube or twitch
- On twitch, change between streams, the first one reproduces fine, when you open the second one, that's the one that freezes. On youtube, open a video, again, the first one is perfect, but once you open another one from the recommend section, that's the one that freezes.
Expected Results:
Normal playback on both youtube and twitch on chrome/chromium
Additional info:
I have not changed my setting on pipewire.conf, they are the same ones I used on 0.3.28.
I thought that maybe it was related to #1258 (closed), but I tried pipewire-git, but it was the same result.
Update:
I was able to reproduce it also on spotify with the next steps:
- Open a playlist on spotify
- Select different songs on the playlist window fast and the playback will freeze on the second song you selected until you close spotify and open it again
